Happy Easter!

I'd like to thank vintagegal for reminding me about all the awesomely disturbing cartoons from the 30s I watched as a young child.

Fragonard No. 5

Wooo! No.5!

Le Verrou

Ce n'est pas Chanel, évidemment.

Saturday Super-imposition

Quoi?

There's a parfumeur in Paris called Fragonard too. Apparently, Fragonard smells like "white flowers and mellow amber" and not ass and over starched lace. Too bad.

Liber Est A Cul

Once again, Neatorama provides all the content of my blog:

The lovely book Images on the Edge: The Margins of Medieval Art, explores the little doodles monks would add to text that they translated and copied day in and day out:

Depictions of sexual consort are frequent, among men and women, among various species of animals, and enough other combinations to make even contemporary readers blush.

Somebody get me this book!

"Frenchies Do It Better!"

Here is a lovely water color from 1910 that a lovely friend of mine left on my wall, because, "When I saw it I thought of youuuuuu!"...

Don't I have the most thoughtful of friends? (Thanks Des! ^_^)

I Am Half Way to Concord.

Ben Franklin had 220 ways to say, "He's drunk." Need anymore proof that this man is a genius? No. You don't.
